We pioneered distance learning for fundraising in 2005 to help those who like to learn at their own pace in their own space. This is a great way to learn more about fundraising – you can choose your topic and start immediately.

This year's courses include a basic 'Introduction to Fundraising' which is ideal for beginners, a more advanced 'Major Donor' course for those who want to know how to ask for large donations, and a course to teach you how to apply to 'Trusts and Foundations'. The information we send you is specially prepared for self-study and we provide plenty of support to help you to complete your chosen course.

You have the option of a Certificate to confirm your successful completion  the course which will enable you to add the course to your cv. In order to gain the Certificate you submit an assignment, enabling us to confirm that you have studied and gained considerable knowledge from the course.

We have built in a number of special features to help you:

• There are gentle introductions to each topic to give you the necessary background information and set the scene
• The information is presented simply and clearly making it easy to understand and enjoyable to learn
• Suggestions for further research are included for those who like to investigate a particular topic more thoroughly
